Hi everyone. I have just turned 27 and had GP for nearly 2 years now (diagnosed nearly a year ago) and had coeliac disease for 7 years now. I tried lots of different medications but found none of them worked (or not for long anyway) and although the diets tips I got from other GP people online really helped, I became so ill and desperate for something that would help (couldn't keep any food down at all) that I tried holistic treatments and found that acupuncture worked really well (not after the first session as they said it would take a few, but I had 3 treatments within 8 days and after that was about 85% back to how I was before I got GP symptoms). I have now been having treatments since March and am now only going once every 3-3 1/2 weeks but would say my symptoms are about 96% back to normal, so I can eat any foods I want again and able to eat 3-4 times a day and normal portion sizes again which I am soooo happy about. I still get slight nausea before my next treatment is due, but that is nothing compared to before when sometimes I would get 8 hours of constant vomiting after eating and ending up in hospital due to being so dehydrated.
