Please feel free to share tips and ideas for meals that can be easily digested.
The only thing that we ask is that any items that may cause food allergies be either typed in bold or in red so that they can be easily seen.
Common food allergies are:
Iodine (shellfish such as shrimp, crab, oysters, clams, lobster) Milk Eggs Gluten (wheat, flour, wheat germ) Nuts Soy Legumes (peas, lima beans, all beans)
When it comes to sweeteners, since many of the people that have this condition are diabetic most recipes will contain artificial sweeteners, but if possible please include the equivilent in table sugar for those with artificial sweetener allergies and for recipes that call for sugar please try to give the equivelent in artificial sweetener measurements.
While it is known that caffine can cause gastric emptying to 'speed up' (if you remember your instructions for the gastric emptying test where you were told no coffee) remember that any recipes that are for beverages with caffine should only be tried after consulting your Dr.
